Deck of Cards Workout
The Rules:
- Each of the four suits in a deck of cards represents a different exercise, and the card value equals the number of reps.
- Each card drawn must be completed before moving on to the next. 30-second rests are only allowed in-between cards.
- The deck will be recycled.
- Spread the deck out facedown. Draw a card from the pile. After it's read, place the card back into the pile.
- Workout is complete after 15 cards have been drawn and completed.
The
Game:
The
number on the card indicates the number of reps that must be done. Facecards have their own values.
- Spades: Sit ups
- Diamonds: Squats
- Clubs: Push ups
- Hearts: Burpees Numbers: The number of reps that must be done.
- Jacks: 12 reps
- Queens: 15 reps
- Kings: 20 reps
- Aces: 25 reps
- Jokers: 20 High Knee Jumps
- 2 or more cards of the same number, including face cards, goes as follows:
- Doubles: Two cards of the same value drawn in a row doubles the number of reps.
- Triples: Three cards of the same value drawn in a row triples the number of reps.
- Quadruples: (Unlikely, but you never know) Four cards of the same value drawn in a row quadruples the number of reps.
Change the exercises and make it your own. Here are some examples.
- Use dribbling skills requiring a certain amount of reps.
- Use ball handling skills requiring a certain amount of reps.
- Use jump rope skills requiring a certain amount of reps.
- Shots: Different locations on the floor.
